Water, technologies, and sustainability: solutions to tomorrow’s challenges

After Barack Obama’s participation in the third edition, alongside TUTTOFOOD 2017, prestigious keynote speakers from different fields will take part in the fourth edition of Seeds&Chips – The Global Food Innovation Summit at MiCo-Milano Congressi, from 7 to 10 May 2018. Former US Secretary of State, John Kerry, who is renowned for his commitment to innovation and sustainability will be one of them.

The Summit will focus on water, one of the biggest global challenges of the next few years, as anticipated by Call4Ideas WaterFirst! launched in November 2017, a competition for innovators worldwide to develop projects and solutions for a sustainable use of water.

This edition will stand out for its innovative formats. In the Give me 5! session, young innovators will have the chance to pitch their project to major global leaders, whereas in the Big Brother Innovation Program, leading companies will scout startups. The most innovative projects will receive the Seeds&Chips Award.

The scheduled conferences will focus on various themes, including climate change, robotics, 3D printing, e-commerce, precision agriculture, food waste, circular economy, the supermarket of the future, new foods and superfoods, and traceability. Each conference will have at least one speaker UNDER 30 years of age and will be opened by a Teenovator, i.e. youngsters aged between 13 and 19, who are particularly active in food innovation and play a major role in the ongoing food revolution.

In 2019 Seeds&Chips, will once again take place alongside TUTTOFOOD at Fieramilano from 6 to 9 May.
