In the post-COVID scenario, in addition to artificial intelligence, the use of innovative products for the conservation and reduction of food waste is fundamental.
APPEATY is an innovative smartphone application that aggregates restaurants and allows to receive the desired meal at the selected restaurant or home with take-away and home delivery managed independently by the restaurateur. Table service can also be supported by advanced robotics. The ability to view and order the desired dish in advance with filters for food styles and allergens makes the selection accurate and avoids negative experiences, with a more fluid and "just in time" service, hence the importance of food preservation. We believe that digital transformation must lead users to an innovative experience in everyday life, saving time and allowing an informed choice based not only on prices and discounts but also on ingredients, planning and sustainability.
EDYPAK is an eco-sustainable biofilm for food. It could be applied to food in different ways creating a natural and edible thin layer. The biofilm formulation with natural antimicrobial and antioxidant constituents protects foods and extends their shelf-life. Chitosan extracted from fish waste is the essential constituent of EDYPAK, chemical additives free. This ingredient is a possible alternative to plastic films for food, helping to overcome two global emergencies: plastic pollution and food waste.
