Tunde Pecsvari

Founder and CEO, Macha

Hungarian by birth, Milanese by adoption, Tunde Pecsvari was destined to work in the world of food: she grew up among the vineyards of Lake Balaton and has appreciated good food since she was a child. Initially, she founded a digital agency in Italy but soon moved into the restaurant business. In 2004 she took over the Bento Sushi Restaurant in Corso Garibaldi in Milan with two partners and together they soon made it a success. In 2008 she opened the Italian restaurant Osteria Brunello and shortly afterwards obtained her sommelier diploma. In 2014, thanks to her know-how in classic catering, she entered the world of fast casual by creating two sushi corners at expo. After several trips to Japan that led her to learn more about matcha, the finest variety of green tea, as well as other Japanese raw materials, she opened a new format, the MACHA Café, with her partner Antonio Scognamiglio. Designed as a "trend incubator", MACHA is a lifestyle brand that offers innovative recipes and dishes and works with ingredients that are new to the Italian market. First, she introduced the poké and avocado burger, two iconic dishes that have become symbols of a new lifestyle. At the same time, the MACHAPOKÈ brand was developed, and today, just five years after its birth, the company already has 20 stores open and a development plan that includes numerous other openings throughout Italy.

Vittoria Zanetti

Co-founder and Executive Director, Poke House

Born in 1991 in Desenzano del Garda to parents who both worked in the world of food, producing dairy products. She moved to Milan for her studies and here her passion for the world of food and drink developed even further. It is here that she began to gain some experience in the restaurant industry moving from different operational jobs. During a trip to the States she discovered POKE and decided she wanted to bring this concept of food to her beloved Milan, with the dream of also being able to communicate the energy and Californian spirit she had found in the States. Poke House was born very soon after Vittoria's meeting with her current founding partner, Matteo Pichi, then Glovo's country manager. With him she was able to realise her dream and open her first House in October 2018. Poke House currently has 50 shops across Europe and has a plan to expand to more than 220 by 2024.
