Investigative journalist with a background in economic history at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Milan, he is particularly interested in the relational dynamics between the industry supplying food and non-food consumer goods, all channels of modern distribution and catering, and the systems and services related to them. Specialisations: he has been dealing with editorial issues related to the use of the Internet since 1997. Marco Bordoli

Managing Director, CRAI Secom and Crai Soc. Cooperativa p.a.

Born in Como 62 years ago and graduated in Agricultural Science in Milan, is the current CEO of Crai Secom Spa and Crai Cooperativa, an Italian organization that has been active in modern distribution for 48 years, with a network of more than 3,400 points of sale, including both food and drug channels, and which closed 2020 with an aggregate turnover of around 6 billion euros. Bordoli, after a brilliant career in some companies of the Retail Trade, became CEO of Crai in 2009 and it is under his leadership that the company has achieved important performance. Bordoli is also a member of the Board of Directors of Federconsumo-Confcooperative, is a member of the national executive boards of GS1 and ADM, and is a member of the municipal council of Zelbio, a small village in the heart of the Larian Triangle overlooking Lake Como.

Fabio is a Partner in the Customer Transformation team in PwC Italy with specific focus on the Consumer Market sector. He has proven expertise in supporting companies in transformation and modernization programs, including definition of new business models and customer relationship management evolution leveraging customer insight, customer experience and technology.

Nicola Pierdomenico

Chief Executive Officer & President, PENNY Market Italia, REWE Group

He was born of Italian parents on 11 August 1966 in Ulberlingen, Germany; after returning to Italy, he obtained a diploma in agricultural techniques and graduated in Law from the University of Padua. Also thanks to his bilingual competence and the good balance between German rigour and Italian flexibility, he was assigned roles of responsibility from the beginning of his professional career. In the retail world, to name a few, he was Purchasing Director for Eurospin and then Sales Director and General Manager Discount for D-PIÙ, a brand of MAXI DI Srl. At PENNY Market Italia since 2019, he has the role of Chief Executive Officer and President, with direct responsibility on the departments of sales, purchasing, strategic marketing, quality and corporate communication.
