TUTTOFOOD confirms itself as a global showcase by presenting collective stands not only from Europe, but also from other continents: from Asia to Latin America to conquer European markets and the world.
It won’t be just about Europe, one of the event's traditional target markets that will be present in full force at TUTTOFOOD 2023, at fieramilano from May 8 to 11, 2023. Non-European countries will also play a leading role. “Thailand is a land rich in diverse flavors: it has always been called 'the cuisine of the world'”, explained Anongnart Mahasawat, Director of the Thai Trade Center, Milan. “Vegetables, fruits, spices, herbs, livestock and seafood are all high-quality products well known to consumers around the world. Thailand is among the largest exporters, with exports accounting for more than 6.8 billion dollars in value in 2020. Growth in exports is helping to make Thai producers increasingly aware of the need to adopt the strictest international standards for production processes. This includes a natural and sustainable approach, as with the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) Model adopted nationwide, also thanks to the introduction of two quality certifications: Thai SELECT for typical dishes and Thailand Trust Mark with an eye on responsibility.”
Besides Asia, another area of the world where food exports are evolving greatly is Latin America. Ecuador will be one of the countries to participate with its own collective stand: “We produce several foods such as bananas and shrimps, of which we are the world's leading exporter, but also cocoa and coffee, just to name a few”, commented Max Coello Aguilar, Ecuador's Commercial Counselor in Italy and Director of the Ecuador Commercial Office in Italy. “In the past, we used to export these products as raw materials and without added value, but in recent years we started to export, for example, snacks, energy bars, chocolate, cereals, and many other products that respond to new sustainable, organic or vegan trends and consumption habits, also with the use of innovative packaging such as recycled PET (rPET).”
“TUTTOFOOD is not just the main Italian event for the industry, it is also an international platform where collective stands from around the world have the chance to meet international and Italian buyers”, in order to start by entering European markets and then, in perspective, also global markets.
