The schedule of Retail Plaza presents the 'most innovative' innovation

The format dedicated to sharing between companies and brands returns with unmissable discussions on the next phase of digital transition, new consumer habits and sustainability.

The schedule of Retail Plaza by TUTTOFOOD is starting to take shape in more detail. The event format coordinated by Business International, the knowledge unit of Fiera Milano, will take stock of the changing business models and formats of modern distribution, by bringing together international Italian brands, experts and manufacturers in a unique networking context for the sector. Supply chain sustainability and value chain innovation will be at the heart of the 2023 edition, which, as usual, will also feature a strong focus on case studies, involving manufacturers and keeping Italian and foreign brands as its focal point.

Just to mention some of the already confirmed appointments, Giuseppe Stigliano, lecturer in Business, Law, Economics and Consumer Affairs at the Faculty of Communication of the IULM University in Milan, will take part in two talks to discuss the latest trends in on-shelf innovation with representatives of some of the most important Italian and international distribution chains.

Sustainable innovation and how it affects modern distribution, both in Italy and abroad, will be the focus of two other meetings moderated by Cristina Lazzati, Director of Gdoweek and MarkUp and lecturer at 24 Ore Business School.

'Creative destruction' and how to better deal with it in the value chain will instead be discussed in two meetings with Massimo Visconti, Value Chain Innovation Strategist, and Cris Nulli of Appetite for Disruption.

The collaboration with the Retail Institute, which will cover the entire event, will be expressed mainly on the topics of Green retail, Food and sustainability. Other events in the pipeline will involve innovative start-ups, advanced omnichannel players, companies dealing with the digital transformation of HoReCa and much more.

Especially in the post-pandemic era, the balance between online sales, in-store sales and the use of digital tools in a drive-to-store perspective is becoming increasingly essential.
