Following a method developed over more than thirty years, products are evaluated through blind tastings, with no reference to the brand, by a jury of chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers. Great Taste is the world’s largest independent food accreditation scheme, ensuring impartiality and
rewarding only quality, while also supporting smaller producers. Each product receives a feedback and a score from 0 to 3 stars.
Products are divided by Nielsen areas (North-West, North-East, Centre and South), along with a cluster dedicated to UNESCO Creative Cities of Gastronomy and one for PDO and PGI products, introduced in 2026. The best products advance to the final stage, where cluster winners and the
overall best product are selected. Products awarded 3 stars qualify for the international final selection.

WHAT TO EXPECT in this area?
At TuttoFood, the Great Taste in Italy stand will host networking sessions, meetings, and tastings.
On May 13th at 10:30 am. the roundtable “Great Taste in Italy: a strategic lever for the internationalization of Made in Italy`` will take place, featuring UK organizer John Farrand, alongside other speakers and managing director at Guild of Fine Food.
It will be the chance to discuss how Great Taste stars are highly respected seals of approval worldwide, for over thirty years.
The best products of 2025 will also presented.
